Perfectionism

Many people engage in procrastination not because they are lazy but because they are perfectionists. Perfectionists create standards that are so high that they are nearly impossible to achieve. This overly demanding standard keeps you from even getting started. If you are a perfectionist, try focusing on completing the task on time rather than perfectly. As you go about your work, try to keep track of how many times perfectionism has held you back. The more aware you are of your perfectionism, the easier it will be to keep in check.
